In my third video exploring the potential uses of the new Synesthesia features of UE4, I’m using a single sound cue (picking from 5 random wavs) to trigger two NRT files (specific to the chosen wav) to drive 5 parameters in a Cascade visual effect. This exact same technique can be used for Niagara and it’s also totally doable to use Wwise with Synesthesia instead of the UE4 native audio engine.
This is my 2nd example of how the new UE4 Synesthesia features could be used with VFX, Lighting, and other UE4 data. In this example, I’m using audio to drive three visual effects parameters of an asset from SilverTm’s “Science Laboratory” UE4 Asset Pack.
